Elephant Falls
We decided to go camping. Just the four of us. Never done that before. Always have some sort of company with us. So this was a first. Wasn't sure where we were going when a gal at young women's was talking about Elephant Falls up Left Hand Fork. Really? I had never heard of them... So after talking to her mom and finding that they are really called Grey Cliff Springs and getting directions we had a destination.
I will forever call them Elephant Falls too! Much better than Grey Cliff.
And there is totally an elephant there!!
It took us a while to find. Long story short we passed it up and ventured up into unmanned territory. Got out, hiked up the road a bit, cause the road was terrible.... and gave up. Came back down and noticed we passed it!! Quite the adventure.
Standing in the springs.
After the hike and the long hot bumpy ride we decided to test it out.
FREEZING cold. Bracken was trying so hard not to cry for the camera!
Across the way was the river. MUCH warmer, love the REAL smile.
Managed to find a campground make camp and eat our tinfoil dinners. {Hotdogs for the kids.}
Then after much playing {with EACH OTHER!!!} kids went to bed and Jason went off to other campgrounds to find us some firewood. Came back and said There is an AWESOME camp ground up the road. So in the morning we moved camp.
Yep ALL that stuff. Just up and moved it. He is awesome.
EVERY-TIME I try to take a picture of this kid she refuses to smile and be the cuteness she was being minutes before. Here she turned around and I got this.
and this...
Just smile babe!
And as soon as I'm trying to take a shot of Bracken and his dad?
BB Gun fun.
She's just waiting her turn... and pickin her nose.
Our awesome campsite worth moving for. Kids loved climbing on the rock.
Here again I just want em to smile AND look at the camera. At the SAME time...
Finally!
Well another shortened long story... Someone wet their sleeping bag and we had to come back to wash it. So here I am blogging while it's in the wash!
Headed to Bracken's T Ball game then back to camping. Hopefully our tents still there.
Good Night!
Primary Temple Day
Ella finally got to go to the Temple! As we drive to and from work each day she always mentions it and the big gate around it keeping people out. Then one day she saw a wedding group taking photos... "Someone got in!" She shouted.
This is what happens when I try to get photos of them. I give up.
Better luck next time? Maybe the primary got a good one.
Kindergarten Grad
I must say that for this event I was NOT prepared. I had a question on the timing and riding the bus etc... so I emailed the teacher. Her response included reminding me to come early to save seats for family... WHAT? I was going to come alone, well with Ella. So I did my duty and told Grandma's, and in return he got a few aunts too!
Mrs. Allgood was an amazing teacher. I'm not ready to have to deal with a new teacher. I liked her!
There is a photo of Bracken and I.... on someone's camera. If it's you send it to me!
I was okay with Bracken going off to Kindergarten. It was a milestone we were waiting for he was so ready! {As was I!} But for it to be over? I'm still not ready. Kindergarten Graduation was the saddest day ever. I still can't believe the tears that snuck up on me. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy too! He's an amazing kid. But first grade?! Lunch at school?! Hmm.. life goes on I guess.
Must document how pitiful Ella looked and sounded throughout the graduation. She refused to eat breakfast and complained she was hungry the entire time! Tried to include her in photos and got this.
Oh. mustn't forget baby Mae!! {She's cute.}
