Everyday A New Adventure

Eating pancakes. {Nope, I didn't make them. Last time I did that Bracken laughed at me. Seriously. They were left overs out of the fridge. Jason made them.}

Being a good boy and not touching the toilet paper while Mom does her hair.

After screaming about not wanting to get in, having fun.

All clean and ready to play!!

Watching Sesame Street while Mom folds laundry.
{I had to talk him into it, he really thought he should get Nemo.}

Mom went upstairs to put the laundry away, and he decided to look for Nemo.
Exactly what he said when I asked what he was doing, "Nemo?"

Playing

11:28am

Granny called!

Eating a snack.

His I Love You sign,
he then waves and waits for me to leave so he can nap.

What Happy looks like

Jake came over on Sunday without a coat.

Bracken and Jason were outside shoveling snow that had been missed cause Bracken just loves to shovel, so you shovel anything that can be shoveled.

Jake came in the house, as it was cold outside {and he didn't bring a coat}

Bracken was a little upset, "chubl!!"

So Jake borrowed a coat and went out and appeased his nephew.

Bracken was in heaven.

Love is in the air..

..here in Sneezy Snotty Land.

Bracken is almost better. {Crossing fingers & toes.}

We {Bracken & I} have had quite the ailing two weeks {Jason was sick the week before.} I am finally feeling better, but Bracken seemed to get worse the last few days. Although, he does seem to be doing a bit better today. {Hurray!}

There are so many other things I should be doing while he sleeps {speaking of him sleeping he went and got his blanket and led me to his bed ready for a nap a half hour BEFORE nap time!}

But I had to share a few enjoyable things first!

I wanted to share these pictures from the weekend, but I misplaced my camera until today..
so here they are!
He loves the bird !

Playin' cards {NO - that is not his Pepsi!}

This week while feeling a little trapped in the house we went to DI {Surprise!}
I found this tool bench for $4.
Bracken thinks it AMAZING. Even though he uses it as a kitchen. He likes anyone who will to sit on the other side and accept pancakes, ice cream and fries through the shuttered window.

We bought him a basket of food at Wal-mart as well, he loves to get out the can opener and pretend to open the soup, then he slurps it very noisily. {very fun!}

As I said there is much else I should be doing...
so Happy Valentines Day!

makes me SO mad...

I keep getting these stupid automated calls about my current credit card debt... {which I don't have}

at least once a day.

I usually press 9 and it says my number will be removed from the list.

Yeah, right after dialing nine, nine times I figured it wasn't working.

SO.. I dialed 1 to speak with a representative. It told me my wait would be less than 15 seconds.

2 minutes later the music stopped and I heard a click. The call was disconnected.

What the? THEY CALLED ME!!!

I am so angry.

Anyone else having this issue? {The 1st thing I did when we got a new phone number was register it on the National Do Not Call List.. what else can I do?!}

UPDATE:
They just called again, thats twice today. I again dialed 1 to speak with someone, this time it rang several times and someone picked up...

THEM: May I ask with whom I am speaking?

ME: Yes, my name is Kate. I just need my number removed from your list.

THEM: Okay, I will just need you to verify your phone number, area code first.

ME: 435..

Oh my...

I have seen this done a couple of times before and thought, "how fun!"
until I tried to do it myself. Harder than it looks...

The rules: Take pictures of each place/item exactly how it is right now. No wiping, moving things out of the way, or any other kind of cleaning up first!

The Kitchen Sink: I cheated. It was empty but for the food in the bottom, eww.
I rinsed and wiped it. {I swore not to cheat again... and DIDN'T!}
The Fridge: outside & in.
{talk about leftovers!}
Laundry: hamper & machines
{I did pull a sweatshirt up over some underwear, I didn't consider that cheating...}
Toilets: Yellow - Downstairs {I REALLY wanted to wipe the seat.. so I did, AFTER!}
& Brown - Upstairs
My Closet
Favorite Room: It is a tie between the rooms with couches! But I did just post a picture of my bench upstairs not to long ago so here is where Bracken and I chill downstairs...
{this was a good way to get the house picked up, those toys are all away now!}
My Favorite Shoes: Right where I found them, in the corner of the dining room.
{as soon as it's spring I'll have a favorite pair of flip-flops!}
What my child is doing Right Now: in actuality he is napping.
{But there is NO WAY I was going to chance him waking up by taking a picture, and these pictures of him playing hide and seek in my closet are oh so fun...}
My Dream Vacation: a resort in Indonesia
{Yeah, right. I guess that's why it's a dream.}

Mae-Mae

When Meg moved out the beginning of December I’d admit I was a little apprehensive. She was an enormous help around here with Bracken. Making it so simple to go to work, or run to town and not have to take him!

Since she left she has been back often. And we are so glad. Mondays would be truly difficult to go to work and have to enclose Bracken in the copy room with me the for 2 hours while Jason does soccer club. {NOT happening now that he can open doors.}

Whenever I ask Bracken, "Guess who's coming?" He gets all excited and starts tapping his fist on his tummy saying, "Mae-Mae"

See, when she lived here he liked to call her Mommy, still does at times. She would get down at his eye level and say, "Meghan" while pointing at herself. This is now the sign for Meg. Bracken taps himself and says, "Mae-Mae" at the most random times. He misses her lots and every little thing reminds him of her!

This is just to let you know
Meg. We love you, and miss you much! Even though you were just here!

While she was watching Bracken on Monday she took this video with her phone…
for some reason he believes cars should fly?

Grandmas & Grandpas

Going out is a fine suggestion; going out in composure requires a babysitter. Finding one that the baby will stay with isn’t always easy. Oh, how incredibly thankful we are for grandparents, aunts and uncles!!

Saturday night my parents came over and went to dinner with Jason and me. It is always nice to have a dinner date double. Even nicer when they bring the sitter! The amazing Aunt Cheyne whom Bracken adores.
Thank You Cheyne!!

She {Cheyne} stayed the night and went to church with us. So she was there to take a picture of us Sunday morning when Jason, Bracken and I discovered we were all dressed correspondingly…

Jason thought he should change before we went to church, I told him not to. I thought it was humorous. Even if I did feel kind of eccentric sitting in church all matchy-matchy!

After church we tried to get Bracken to go down for a nap. Not happening with Cheyne there, he was way too excited. So we headed over to Treetown a little early for the Thompson’s monthly family dinner.

{No we didn’t have a Super Bowl Party. Sorry to let you down. I did see the last minutes of the game however and I DO know who won!}

When we stopped at my parents to drop off Cheyne we found that they weren’t at church {sluffers} and went in to say hello.

Bracken LOVES to play house when he is there. He goes straight for the kid kitchen, fry pan and cakes {pancakes.} What he found this week was Cheyne’s doll that laughs, cries, drinks, blinks its eyes and burps!

He was quite captivated by this baby. When the baby started to cry I told him to rock her, so he wiggled his way off the couch and started rocking the baby back and forth while pacing the floor. One observant kiddo!

We entertained ourselves watching him, taking pictures and then playing with the doll ourselves!

Afterward we continued on to Thompson’s {leaving the camera on the couch, so I have no pictures.}

Don’t let that confuse you though; we still had so much fun! Bracken loves to play at Grandma & Grandpa Thompson’s. He does get confused however that all the toys aren’t there JUST for him. {Whose idea was THAT?!} He is used to the weekends when he visits and no one is there but him. I suppose we ought to to work on playing nice and sharing?

One of his favorite toys at Thompson’s is the Fisher Price Garage. He likes to bring it out and play and has discovered that Grandpa will play with him. A couple weekends ago the two of them {Grandpa & Bracken} were playing with the tool bench Bracken had brought out to the front room when Bracken suddenly gets up and puts his little finger out in front of his face to tell Grandpa “don’t leave, I be right back” then he goes into the toys and attempts to carry out the garage, but it’s too heavy so he acquires my help. I thought it delightful, he loves his Grandpa to play with him.
