Oh Buddy how we love you! You are so smart and show us you know it every day. You are figuring out the world so fast. You aren't a walker yet.. and thats okay!! I am not sure I will be able to keep up, and I am sure that day will come soon enough! You still won't pat a cake... but you know all the actions to itsy bitsy spider! {now to get you to do them at the right times!}And you love to clap when you've done just about anything! You love to talk, it makes you feel so smart. You say down {when you drop things on the floor or throw them DOWN the stairs} and done {when you don't want to eat anymore} You turn 11 months old today, I cannot believe you will be a 1 year old in a month, and I cannot imagine life without you!

The annual Red & White dance was a week ago today.
I tried to take some pics of cute Meg but
she so LOVES for the camera to be in her face
when she finally relaxed and smiled..
my battery was dead.

They were cute anyway!

I have to say it was hard work..

and I'm not done, behind the little tree at the end

is never ending grass roots.. I only got the tops off... EW.

{and I need to figure out what it was I was allergic too..
my hives are finally calming down now...}

And the winner is...

Friday night was the Elder's Quorum Pinewood Derby Race.
Jason had been working very hard to make his car
'look good' not exactly 'go fast'
so you can imagine our delight when he never lost a race!

{Until they raced em backward -- but I'm told that doesn't count!}

Guess What?

I never thought I'd say it.

But here it is.
I went out and weeded the flowers today..
and loved it.

I even went back out after Bracken went down for his nap
{My book reading time}
The whole time I was enjoying myself I thought of my Mom.
I've always thought her crazy for going outside and playing in the dirt...
for YEARS before I got married planning for my wedding 'just in case'
I am so glad she did,
we had our reception in her front yard and it was beautiful.

Thank you Mom.

So every day might be much but a little weeding here and there..
Hey I might do it anywhere!
I do so like it!

Milestones

Grandpa Greg this post is for you!
Bracken finally figured it out...
I put the ear buds in his hands and guess where he put them?
Not in his mouth!
It was a proud moment for Mom!
I knew Grandpa had been trying to let him listen to
his MP3 player and Bracken just wasn't getting it!
Well next time he will!

Bracken LOVES to be outside!

Last week we (Bracken & I (Dad was at work)) got to go to Willow Park Zoo with Grandma & Grandpa Thompson, Erica, Brynlee and Gracen. We had so much fun. Bracken absolutely loved it. He would point and "Ooo Ooo Ooo" at the moving animals, it was so much fun!

Then we had a picnic and played, he had so much fun on the swing! It was a really nice day but we did end up needing sweatshirts.. and of course the next day it snowed!
