All for a photo...

I decided the kids needed their pictures taken. Seems that I'm a slacker mom and the pictures on grandparents walls are OLD.

This is my attempt at avoiding a studio... should I still call and make an appointment?

zombified

Bracken & I had quite the quiet time activity.  We had a blast.  No I didn't cut my hair, Bracken got to choose the photos and he chose an old one...

Tis the Season!

wonderful unforgettable ordinary moments

  • Today while riding in the car Ella started screaming my name. E: MOM! MOM! MOOMEE!  Me: What Ella?  E: SHHH!!! Sweeping.  {Bracken was asleep. How?  Unknown.}
  •  A couple weeks ago in the car I overheard Bracken telling Ella, "Your name is spelled E L L A. Cause it says Eh-Ll- Ll- Uh.  Mine is too hard, I have to wait to go to real school."  I butted in here and started to tell him how I could help him and it wouldn't be too hard when he told me, "Mom, this is not your conversation."
  • Bracken learned to spell his name!  He is now working on Thompson.
  • A couple weeks back I called Ella, Ella-Vanilla, she stopped what she was doing turned and said, "No. Papa!"  Her Grandpa Thompson calls her that. I haven't attempted it again, some things are sacred I guess!
  • I have an AWESOME husband. We have canned tomatoes, tomato sauce, apple sauce and plum sauce. 4 pans of plum leather and several bags of shredded zucchini to freeze.  Without him?  None of it would be done. None of it.
  • When Bracken tasted my tomato sauce I had to send him to the bathroom afraid he was going to vomit. When he came back I was drinking it. His response. "Mom! That is totally gross! How are you so different?"
  • Found out last month that my friend Ashlee is moving back to Cache Valley from St. George.  So excited!
  •  Ella screamed in bed for almost 20 minutes one morning and wouldn't let me get her out cause I wasn't her dad. Then when she decided she didn't want to spend all day in bed and let me lift her out she threw a fit every time I looked at her until I had completely ignored her for 15 minutes. THEN we were best buds.
  •  One day I noticed Bracken had pen up and down his arms and legs. Me: What in the world?! Bracken: um... I thought it was a good idea at the time? Me: Oh. Bracken: Sorry I won't do it again please don't yell, Anna is here. Where does he come up with this stuff? At the the time?!?!
  • Bracken quote to remember "I'm going to Anna's now. I promise not to ask for food and keep my smile up."  Life would be so different without Anna across the street!
