Road Trip & Christmas time!

We recently road tripped to Phoenix for Tieman's wedding (one of Jason's mission companions, Elder Joshua Tieman) We drove all day on Friday December 14th, stopping in Cedar City to see Aunt Bezi and Uncle Matt, arriving in Phoenix a lot later than planned, but alas we made it and with Meghan's help Bracken was a very good boy, Santa better remember that! (Thanks for coming with us Meg, we know it was a LONG 3 days but we are so grateful you came along!)
Anyhow we were in Phoenix Saturday for the wedding and stayed our 2 nights at the Engelbrecht's (another companion: Jexon and his wife Aubrey) and big Thank-you to them it made it so nice not to have to worry about finding a room and having to pay for it at this time of year!

Again on Sunday we drove ALL day with another pit stop in Cedar City where Matt, Bezi and Charliee fed us yummy soup and had presents. It was so fun to see them at Christmas time. They had a present for Bracken, a Big Bird that does Patty Cake, Peek a Boo and This Little Piggy. He loves it, and did immediately... although he was so tired on the way back home he held it tight and slept.
We put up our Christmas tree on the Saturday after Thanksgiving but I procrastinated and never posted about it! I guess I'd rather read a book, but now that it's nearly Christmas here is our family with our tree...
It only took 4 Christmas tree's I didn't like... this year I love my tree! I can't believe this will be our 5th Christmas together (well married!) and our first with Bracken, we are so glad we have him! He is the light in our lives. 6 months old and still not rolling or even moving much at all (well maybe a little) but he does sit very well, although he does bonk his head every now and again, he rarely cries about it!Well, as far as Christmas cards go this will have to do for the year, maybe next year!

Have a Merry Christmas!

Picture a Party

Our ward Christmas party was on Friday. It was an "adult" party, the kids had a primary party earlier in the day and the ym/yw were doing their own thing as well, so it was just the adults, being as we have not yet to leave Bracken with a sitter besides his grandparents, we took him with us...

He was the only child in sight, and Brother Dickey had a new digital camera he was playing with, guess who got followed around with the camera!?

So at church on Sunday I asked if he (Brother Dickey) would make me a disc with the pictures he took of us...

Well... bright and early Monday morning I had the disc with at least 20 photos!

This was Bracken's first Christmas "event" and his first time meeting Santa.. He seemed happy with the pile of kisses Santa left for him!
Oh.. Brother Dickey also printed out a big one on photo paper, about 8x10 of this last one when I finally turned and looked at the camera that I knew had been following me !
