Summer Vacation 2010...Day 1

On Thursday June 17th we got up and loaded the vehicles. Off to Yellowstone.

So thankful for the new SUV and DVD player. Worth the payment in my book!

First stop Idaho Falls.  Checked out the bathrooms and the cemetery first.

Makes Me Smile

Today is starting out to be a long one. Bracken woke up screaming because he heard his dad's car pull out of the driveway. He, Ella and I all have sore throats or yucky noses. It's not warm outside.

But. Today is the last day of school {for 2 ½ months}. Tomorrow is the Fish Fry. I don't know how I'll go with 2 under-the-weather children but I'll figure something out. I am going.

While I fed Ella this morning Bracken went outside in his underwear. When I went to find him he was in the car with my change in his hands. When I told him to put it back he selected a certain penny clenched it in his hand, put the rest back and jumped out of the car.

When he got in the house I asked him what was in his hand…

Bracken: Jesus

Mom: What?

Bracken: {displaying the penny in his hand} See temple? Jesus in there.

I determined not to disagree with him and tell him it is the Capitol and not the Temple. If he wants to have Jesus in his pocket, he can have Jesus in his pocket.

Now for entertainment we have strapped Ella in the umbrella stroller and blocked off the stairs. Bracken is walking her around the house pretending to go to several different places. Maceys, Lee's, the Dr, school, work... all the while talking on his cell phone.

....Okay so I'm a boob.  It IS warm out, the sun just isn't out.  We are going to the park.

He came out from his nap today,  hands on hips.

Bracken: Just so you know, you need to wash my sheets.

Mom: Oh, really?

Bracken: Yeah, I wet my pants... again.

He is so funny.
