Now With 50% More Update!

Hi all! I am sitting here thinking about how when I sat down at the computer I was going to update. BUT.. I read your updates, commented here and there, updated my Goodreads and took way too long.. now it is time for Bracken to be waking up, and I've not updated! Man. Eventually you will get to see pictures of my lovely finished basement, and my new carpet... but for now I am in a hurry!

I firstly need to remember my brother, he just had a birthday!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

This picture is of him and Bracken in July, he {Jake} invited us to go up to Idaho with he and his friends and we had so much fun, even though we didn't stay the night, they were very hospitable to us and let us take a 4 wheeler for a ride and watched Bracken! Bracken had fun too.. he loves dirt. {Lafe.. I need some of your pictures!}

So Jake.. we hope you had an awesome day and remember how much we love you!

On another note I had to share this picture of my Daredevil. I can't seem to convince him that the bike will take him places. I have succeeded in getting him to get on the bike and wave saying 'bye love you!' Then he gets off. OR he pulls this stunt and stands on it!

I had a few requests for my thoughts on Stephenie Meyer's first sci-fi novel for adults.

It took my comprehension 100 pages to get into, but once I understood all the terminology I couldn't put it down, I really should go back and re-read the first 100 pages now that I understand, definitely a must read and re-read!....

As for Breaking Dawn the last book in the Twilight Series... I must say I was sorely disappointed. I was never a die hard fan like most so.. if you've read the rest of the series you are going to read it no
matter what I say but I thought I'd let you know how let down I was.

The wonder that is walking

This post is for a few people I am so incredibly thankful for.
I am very blessed to have these 3 in my life.
{Now don't feel left out if you aren't mentioned, there are many, many people I am thankful for these ones just needed to be recognized today}

First of all my little sister Meghan. She has been living with us for a little bit now and has helped us out a ton! I love having her here.
{She is awesome to help out with Bracken especially where we have been under construction most of the time she has been here!}

Then there is Bracken, what would I do without him? As we speak he is sweeping the floor with the hand broom cause thats what I was doing a few minutes ago. I love watching him watch us and try to do everything, he is learning so fast!

Brushing his teeth is just one example!

Recently his Dad gave him a hair cut... That brings up the 3rd person. I am so grateful for everything Jason does. he is always working at accomplishing something new. Thanks to him we have a family room downstairs! I am having mixed feelings.. today was his first day back at school. I have to admit I was ready for school to start again and for Bracken and I to have our daily schedule back. But I miss Jason.. and it's only 1 o'clock!

Bracken misses him too, looking around for him, he keeps going to the window to see if he's out in the yard and yelling 'Dad!' {it's true Jason gets all the credit for the yard & garden, I gave up after weeding 2 or 3 times and having to deal with hives....} We love you and miss you babe!

Oh-- I must add that Bracken is walking!

More than just Annie

I am so behind on keeping this blog up to date. I think this is the first summer ever that I'm anxious for to be over. It has been wonderful having Jason here everyday and being able to do so many things and get so much done on the house {yes, we have our carpet in now!} But I am just so tired. Fall will be a relief to be able to settle down and realize all I have to be thankful for {and to catch up the blog on all we did do over the summer}

But this one couldn't wait. My littlest sister Cheyne was recently the star of the show in the Garland Children's Theater's production of Annie. I am so very impressed with her talent and her confidence! We were so busy I was only able to attend closing night, and she did AMAZING!

I love you Chey!
