2011

1. What did you do in 2011 that you’d never done before?
Made up my own recipe for Corn Muffins and it actually turned out super Yum!

2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions?

A couple.  We made it to the temple every month but 2 and with my sister in law's help I used my sewing machine!

3. Did anyone close to you give birth or get married?

No babies I can think of but My sister Meghan got married in September!



4. Did anyone close to you die?

Nope.

5. What dates from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Monday March 14th.  A BAD day

6. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nope.

7. What was the best thing you bought?
My iPad!

8. What did you get really excited about?
Having a friend who would bring her kids to play then take mine on another day.  Made Visiting Teaching SO much more enjoyable. She is moving out of state in 2012, We will miss you Jo, Sammi & Dallin!!!


9. What song will always remind you of 2010?
Remember When by Alan Jackson. Solely for the line "Remember when 30 seemed so old?"

10. How did you spend Christmas?
At home.  Spent Christmas Eve here too.  Granny, Papa Greg, Cheyne and Jake stayed for Christmas morning. Lots of Fun! I'll never forget singing 

Karaoke Christmas Eve.. a new tradition maybe? After breakfast went back to Treetown, had lunch at Granny & Papa's and spent the rest of the day/evening at Grandma & Grandpa Thompson's...  Where Ella got sick after drinking red punch. A Christmas I won't forget!


11. Where were you in your religion?  I served as the Primary Secretary.  Jason got called to be the Elder's quorum 1st councilor and was released from being Young Men's 2nd councilor.  Bracken finished up Sunbeams and Ella finally started to love nursery, only for her best buddy to move away and the other kids move on to Sunbeams.  Now we are back to square one where she screams for the first 10 minutes.  Thank heavens for patient nursery leaders!

12. What was your favorite TV program?
One Tree Hill & American Pickers

13. What were your favorite books of the year?
The Weight of Silence by Heather Gudenkauf and Princess Academy by Shannon Hale

14. What were your favorite films of the year?
The Adjustment Bureau, Something Borrowed and The Help

15. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
You can read all about my big 'week'. I turned 30.

16. What did you do on your anniversary, how many years?
I think we went to dinner and a show... and saw whatever was playing? Lol. I think it was Abduction.

17. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2011.

It's okay to ask for help.  Sometimes it is the first step into a wonderful friendship. 

18. Care to publicly share a new years resolution? 
I'll share one.  I started in November, no more caffeine.  I want to be able to say I drank my last Pepsi the year I turned 30.
