If that wasn't enough...

Recently Jason and I attended our 10 year class reunion. One of my good friends was named worst mother.  I couldn't believe it. She is amazing.  I realized it was a joke, as they said 'for letting her child eat toilet paper.'  Well friend, I am here to give you a run for your money...

At the start of summer Bracken had some issues with water. Bath time has never been his 'cup of tea.' Well we have improved. Been swimming a few times, been to the beach multiple times, and bought a small pool for the yard. Bracken will now lay down in the bathtub and blow bubbles when in the pool.

Well... one day I walked into the bathroom to find Bracken's head in the toilet. I, being very startled by the occurrence, scolded him and told him to get his head out of the toilet. He very innocently looked up at me and said, "Mom, I was blowing bubbles!" It was then I looked and realized he had 'even' peed in it first.

A few other things I forgot to mention about my boy...

Instead of inside out or upside down he says upside backwards

Says 'What's that for?' instead of 'What was that?'.. for instance when someone passes gas :) or the garbage truck can be heard outside.

Just yesterday he pointed his rubber band gun at me and said, "Give me all your Book of Mormon!" as he walked away I heard, "and live righteously!"

He loves to tell people he's going to get baptized. We attended a baptism not to long ago and he was very concerned that they were going to 'get hit in the back of the head like Jesus' I was a bit confused. He then pulled out his book with a picture of Jesus and John the Baptist and showed me...

I then explained that Jesus didn't get smacked in the head, but helped into the water.  After attending the baptism and realizing what happens Bracken was content. He woke up the next day and said, "Can I get baptized today?"  He asks this often and we tell him when he's 8.  He tells people he's 3 so he can get baptized. Although 3 looks like 8 it just isn't the same.  One Sunday he came and asked if he could get baptized that day, I again told him not today so he said, "okay I guess I'll take a bath then."

My Boy Right Now

is a pretty funny guy. I have been making a list of all the things he does that
crack us up and we want to never forget...

  • loves 'hamgerbers' and is no longer a chicken nugget'er'

  • a funny the other day I asked what he wanted for lunch, his reply? 'A cheeseburger with double cheese please' um... we don't have any....'after rolling in laughter cause he thinks he's so funny he says, 'okay I'll have octopus'

  • he calls graham crackers 'fire crackers' cause we use them around the fire pit for s'mores

  • has started saying 'WHAT?!' after we tell him something and says it several times.  After repeating ourselves over and over we just tell him to be quiet.
  • also started adding 'or something' to his answers. Example: I asked what he wanted to drink 'chocolate milk.. or something'  or  'let's go to town or something'

  • tattles on himself

  • is 3

  • calls his shorts 'short pants are up' - 'Mom can I wear short pants are up today?'

  • will randomly tell people he has a boat and it goes on the big water

  • watches for hitches on EVERY vehicle, used to call them 'hangs' but is on the right track now and can find 'hitches'

  • will randomly break into song. His favorites: John Jacob Jingle Heimer Smidt, Book of Mormon Stories and Happy Birthday
  • likes to tell people how much he loves them.  He told me the other day that he loved me more than french fries AND pizza.  I gave in and let him eat cereal on the couch...

'speaking alone'

Commenting is one of the most integral parts of blogging: it’s what makes blogging a conversation, not a monologue.

Now. I know I have readers. At least 53 of you.  {you are subscribed.} I may not know who you are, but you do.

I won't bite. Promise.
